AI model pinpoints sources of driver stress, paving the way for smart driving assistants
In 2024, 1,040 accidents were recorded on Spanish roads, in addition to minor collisions and other driving problems. The causes of these accidents include speeding, adverse weather conditions and substance abuse, but also distraction and stressful situations that can be mitigated by improving infrastructure design, technologies to assist drivers and road safety policies.
Robots that can automatically recognize and track specific odors could have a wide range of valuable applications. For instance, they could help to identify the sources of harmful chemical substances in the air after hazardous accidents at power plants, explosions, or other disasters.
