Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready (GEAR) program now available, a new path to building AI agents at scale

Today’s reality is agentic – software that can reason, plan, and act on your behalf to execute complex workflows.

To meet this moment, we are excited to open the Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready (GEAR) learning program to everyone. As a new specialized pathway within the Google Developer Program, GEAR empowers developers and pros to build and deploy enterprise-grade agents with Google AI.

Here is how GEAR helps you build what’s next.

Move from experimentation to production-ready architecture

Building an enterprise-grade agent requires the right tools, planning, and infrastructure. But we also know that to learn these skills, you need the freedom to experiment without watching a meter running.

That is why GEAR membership includes 35 monthly learning credits on Google Skills. This recurring benefit allows you to run labs and test in a sandbox environment, at no cost to you.

Members can use these credits to access end-to-end learning paths designed to help you ship code immediately. Current learning paths available:

  • Introduction to Agents: Understand the anatomy of an agent, how they operate, how they integrate into Gemini Enterprise workflows, and how they fit within the broader Google Cloud ecosystem.

  • Develop Agents with Agent Development Kit (ADK): Go deep on the open-source ADK to build agents that use reasoning loops to deliver predictable, reliable outcomes, moving you from prompting to actual engineering.

Turn technical proficiency into industry-recognized credentials

As you progress through these learning paths, GEAR helps turn your progress into tangible credentials.

  • Earn badges: As you complete agent-focused labs on Google Skills, you can earn completion badges on your Google Developer profile, along with official intermediate and advanced skill badges that validate your expertise.

  • Get certified: For customers looking to certify their skills, Get Certified offers instructor-led training and technical mentorship. This cohort-based program for Google Cloud customers is infused with AI courses, hands-on labs, and skill badges, all designed to prepare you for industry-recognized certifications.

Get started

The transition to agentic AI is a massive opportunity, but it requires a new set of skills. GEAR provides the tools, the credits, and the guidance to help you build what’s next.

You can access GEAR benefits by creating or signing into your Google Developer Program profile and claiming the GEAR badge.

Get started at developers.google.com/program/GEAR and start your first learning path today.
