Using AI to target a laser for killing roaches

A trio of researchers from Heriot-Watt University, University Paul Sabatier and the University of Sussex has developed an AI-based device equipped with a laser that can be used to shoot and kill roaches automatically. In their paper published in the journal Oriental Insects, Ildar Rakhmatulin, Mathieu Lihoreau and Jose Pueyo, respectively, describe the device and its performance when tested on real insects.
